Wounds have to close, pain subsides and the swelling goes back. This is supported by a compression therapy. We come to you into the hospital and supply you with compression stockings and silicone liners. This is the first time you get to know our orthotist.
Phase II: interim prosthesis
Phase II: interim prosthesis
As soon as the stump is loadable, we start building the interim prosthesis. Thisonly takes a few days. As you make the first experience of your prosthesis, your leg or arm gets used to the strain and the swelling goes back.
The prosthesis is designed to be relatively easily adapted to the changing volume. Also, individual parts such as socket, joints and foot or hand can be easily replaced. This way you can find out what feels best for you.
Phase III: final prosthesis
Phase III: final prosthesis
After about six months, we produce your final prosthesis. We then focus on low weight, functionality and cosmetics. The carbon fiber socket is very filigree and light, but four times stronger than steel. Parts are individually tailored to your needs and wishes. Using digital images and a form detection of your other leg or arm, we make a cosmetic cladding of the prosthesis, to ensure the most natural appearance possible.

We come directly to your hospital and develop an ideal care concept together with doctors and therapists. First, we make an interim prosthesis for the time the wound heals and the swelling decreases. With that, you can test different joints etc. After about six months it is time for your permanent prosthesis.
